Common Mistakes in English (आम गलतियाँ) – Grammar, Pronunciation, Sentence Errors:

English seekhne mein hum sabhi kuch na kuch mistakes karte hain. Chaliye, aaj hum kuch common mistakes ko samjhenge jo log aksar karte hain, aur unko kaise sahi kiya jaa sakta hai. Main grammar, pronunciation, aur sentence errors ko cover karunga.

1. Grammar Mistakes (व्याकरण की गलतियाँ)

a) Subject-Verb Agreement (Subject aur Verb ka Samarthan)

Mistake:

·         She go to the market every day.
(Woh har din market jati hai.)

Correction:

·         She goes to the market every day.
(Woh har din market jati hai.)

Explanation:
Subject (She) aur verb (goes) ko match karna zaroori hai. Agar subject singular hai (She, He, It), to verb ko -s lagana padta hai (goes).

b) Incorrect Tense Usage (Galat Tense ka istemal)

Mistake:

·         I am read a book right now.
(Main abhi ek kitab padh raha hoon.)

Correction:

·         I am reading a book right now.
(Main abhi ek kitab padh raha hoon.)

Explanation:
Agar continuous tense ka use karna ho, to am/are/is ke baad verb-ing form ka use hota hai (reading).

c) Use of Prepositions (Prepositions ka galat istemal)

Mistake:

·         She is good in playing cricket.
(Woh cricket khelne mein achhi hai.)

Correction:

·         She is good at playing cricket.
(Woh cricket khelne mein achhi hai.)

Explanation:
Kuch specific activities (jaise playing cricket, singing, swimming) ke liye at ka use hota hai, in nahi.

d) Double Negative (Doosra Negative)

Mistake:

·         I don't know nothing about it.
(Mujhe iske baare mein kuch nahi pata.)

Correction:

·         I don't know anything about it.
(Mujhe iske baare mein kuch nahi pata.)

Explanation:
English mein double negative ka istemal nahi hota. Don't + anything correct hai.

2. Pronunciation Mistakes (Uchcharan ki Galtiyan)

a) 'Th' Sound Confusion (' ka sound)

Mistake:

·         "Think" ko kuch log "tink" bolte hain.

·         "Thank" ko "tank" bolte hain.

Correction:

·         Think aur Thank ka sahi pronunciation hai: "think" (थिंक) aur "thank" (थैन्क).

Explanation:
'Th' ka sound thoda soft hota hai ( sound), na ki t ya k jaise strong sounds.

b) 'V' aur 'W' ka Confusion

Mistake:

·         "We" ko "vee" ke jagah "wee" bolna.

Correction:

·         "We" (हम) ka sound "vee" hota hai, "wee" nahi.

Explanation:
'V' ka sound hamesha "vee" hota hai. 'W' ka sound "double-u" hota hai.

c) Silent Letters (Muutte Akshar)

Mistake:

·         "Knife" ko kuch log "knif" bolte hain.

·         "Doubt" ko "dout" bolte hain.

Correction:

·         "Knife" ka correct pronunciation "naif" hai.

·         "Doubt" ka correct pronunciation "dout" hai.

Explanation:
Kuch words mein silent letters hote hain, jaise k in knife aur b in doubt.

3. Sentence Errors (Vakya ki Galtiyan)

a) Word Order Mistakes (Shabd ka Galat Kram)

Mistake:

·         I very like ice cream.
(Mujhe bahut ice cream pasand hai.)

Correction:

·         I like ice cream very much.
(Mujhe bahut ice cream pasand hai.)

Explanation:
Adverb (very, really) ko verb ke baad aur object ke aage rakha jata hai.

b) Using ‘More Better’ (Jyada Better)

Mistake:

·         This book is more better than that one.
(Yeh kitaab usse acchi hai.)

Correction:

·         This book is better than that one.
(Yeh kitaab usse acchi hai.)

Explanation:
Better already comparative form hai, isliye more lagana galat hai.

c) Incorrect Use of Articles (A or An ka Galat Istemal)

Mistake:

·         She is a honest girl.
(Woh ek imaandaar ladki hai.)

Correction:

·         She is an honest girl.
(Woh ek imaandaar ladki hai.)

Explanation:
Honest word ka shabdik roop h se start hota hai, isliye an ka use hota hai, na ki a.

4. Common Phrases Mistakes (Aam Phrases ki Galtiyan)

a) Confusing ‘Since’ and ‘For’ (Since aur For ka Galat istemal)

Mistake:

·         I have lived here since 5 years.
(Main yahan 5 saal se rah raha hoon.)

Correction:

·         I have lived here for 5 years.
(Main yahan 5 saal se rah raha hoon.)

Explanation:
Since ka use specific point in time (jese 2010, Monday) ke liye hota hai, aur for ka use duration (jese 5 years, 3 months) ke liye hota hai.

b) Saying ‘I am agree’ instead of ‘I agree’

Mistake:

·         I am agree with this idea.
(Main is idea se sahmat hoon.)

Correction:

·         I agree with this idea.
(Main is idea se sahmat hoon.)

Explanation:
Agree ek verb hai, isliye am ki zarurat nahi hai.

Conclusion:

Aapko in galtiyon se bachne ke liye thoda practice aur concentration ki zarurat hai. Grammar, pronunciation, aur sentence structure ko achhe se samajhkar, aap apne English ko behtar bana sakte hain.
